Anxiety
Anxiety and depression often occur together. According to the US Census Bureau, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the rates of anxiety and depression have tripled in less than a year. General anxiety can be related to separations, social phobias, medications, and misperceptions. Most common today is a hypervigilant anxiety associated with fear of Covid-19. This can occur in increasing intensity culminating in hopelessness therefore diagnosis can play an important role in life coaching strategies. At CIC, coaching is integrated with psychotherapeutic considerations since we are trained therapists as well. Particularly with anxiety, a focus on future behavior (coaching) may benefit from considering elements of your past which is the work of psychotherapy.
